Regional Sepsis Alliances
The GSA is establishing 5 regional sepsis alliances to work closer with local stakeholders, regional governments, and regional WHO offices, and to enact key performance indicators from the WHA Sepsis Resolution adopted by the WHO in May 2017.
African Sepsis Alliance | ASA
The African Sepsis Alliance (ASA) was founded in 2016 as a collaboration of African countries and international professional bodies dedicated to improving outcomes from sepsis. Sepsis is the most important cause of severe illness in Africa and must be prioritized in order to save lives and reduce suffering.
Asia Pacific Sepsis Alliance | aPSA
The Asia Pacific Sepsis Alliance (APSA) was founded in Bangkok in 2018 and aims to reaffirm, strengthen, and broaden regional engagement in the fight against sepsis in the asian pacific region.
Eastern Mediterranean Sepsis Alliance | EMSA
The Eastern Mediterranean Sepsis Alliance (EMSA) was founded in Dubai in April 2019, when The Dubai Resolution was adopted – a commitment to improve prevention and care of sepsis in the Eastern Mediterranean Region.
European Sepsis Alliance | ESA
The European Sepsis Alliance (ESA) was founded in March 2018 under the auspices of the EU Commissioner for Food and Health Safety, Vytenis Andriukaitis. The ESA aims to raise awareness for sepsis as well as to recude sepsis deaths in Europe.
Latin American Sepsis Institute | LASI
The fight against sepsis in Latin America is led by the Latin American Sepsis Institute (LASI).
North American Sepsis Alliance | NASA
